Infatti a Wacken non c'era... mi dispiace troppo!!

 

Ma perchè?
Sarò un curiosone magari...ma seguo lui e i Gamma Ray da 13 anni, mi piacerebbe leggere 2-3 parole sulle motivazioni della sua uscita dalla band, non mi sembra di chiedere troppo.

"motivi personali!"

You might have heard it through the grapevine already or asked yourself why Dan didn't play on the recent shows this year.

We are very sorry to announce that since January 2012 Dan has left GAMMARAY to change for a more settled lifestyle that doesn't take him away from home so often.

Here's his statement to all of you:

Dear fans,
thank you very much for your never-ending support and the countless magic moments with you during the last 15 years.
You are the best !!! (Eh kloar)
Being the drummer of Gamma Ray was an eventful, exciting, challenging and very emotional time and I would never want to miss it.
Now it is time for me to try out new avenues.

We have waited with an official statement to leave open the chance for a change of heart and because we didn't really want to start an official search for a new drummer.
Meanwhile, the guy who has played all the shows with us this year has grown so much into the band that now we can proudly present him as our new drummer,

Ladies and Gentlemen, please welcome .....
Mr. Michael Ehré !!!

Michael is already known in the scene for his work with "Uli Jon Roth", "Metalium", "Firewind" and his band "Love Might Kill" where he proved that he is not only a great drummer but an excellent songwriter aswell.
We have already started working on new material for the next GAMMARAY album together and we are very much looking forward to enter this new era of the Rays with a fresh wind in our sails and go around the world together with a new, hopefully killer album."


spero tanto che davvero questo serva almeno a portare una ventata di freschezza nei Rayz...Dan ci mancherà...davvero degno di merito il fatto che hanno atteso tutto questo tempo sperando che potesse cambiare idea.....

Dal post sul sito ufficiale mi sembra di capire che ciò che ha portato Dan a lasciare il gruppo sia di tipo personale (familiare intendo) e non siano invece stati problemi interni del gruppo. Meglio cosi, spero che vada tutto bene e che sia la scelta migliore

 

Già!
Ma sì, lo capisco: viaggiare così tanto è stressante.
Messi da parte un po' di soldini...chi te lo fa fare?
(Parlo per me che non amo molto viaggiare )

 

Ma la vuoi sapere una cosa? Ho idea che per Dan ci sia un frugoletto in arrivo, o qualcosa del genere. E' l'unica cosa che giustificherebbe un cosi radicale cambiamento di vita.

 

Anche secondo me e' quello il motivo.. e in fondo lo capisco!
Pero' sarebbe interessante se continuasse a collaborare come songwriter coi Gamma Ray!

Gli amanti del power metal tedesco andarono in estasi, quando nel 2007/2008 Gamma Ray e Helloween si unirono per l'Hellish Tour, show co-headliner che toccò 34 nazioni (passando anche da Roma e Milano, nel Novembre 2007).
Ora le due band sono pronte a tornare insieme, lanciando l'Hellish Tour II.

Non si conoscono ancora la date di questo nuovo tour che partirà nel Marzo 2013, si può ovviamente sperare che l'Italia sia ancora una volta compresa. Per il momento c'è solo una dichiarazione stampa:

"Preparatevi per l'impatto metal Made in Germany: potete iniziare a scommettere fin da ora su quali cose fantastiche Weikath, Deris, Grosskopf e gli altri riusciranno a mettere in piedi questa volta!"

Weikath ha aggiunto: "L'atmosfera sul palco, e nel backstage, era assolutamente magica l'altra volta. Vogliamo ripetere quella festa, e non vediamo l'ora di suonare insieme di nuovo!"; Kai Hansen conclude: "L'hellish tour è stato uno dei picchi della nostra carriera. Ci sbizzarriremo ancora una volta!".

Nell'attesa di scoprire le date del tour, potete provare a sperare che del tour facciano parte anche gli Unisonic?

 

se cos' fosse sarebbe l'apoteosi....ma difficilmente sarà così..sia perchè Kai avrebbe due band e non penso che farebbe due concerti...e soprattutto non penso che Kiske e Weikath siano in buoni rapporti!!!!!!!!!!
