Where the hell is Ancient Bards?

Hello everyone,

WE’RE ALIVE!

It’s been quite some time. Ancient Bards played their last show almost 1 year ago, on November 26th, and then kinda vanished. What happened?

Well, life happened.

I’m not going to tell you in detail what happened to each of us, ‘cause I’m not writing this to complain or to raise anyone’s compassion, this is just an overdue update. You know how it is: music can’t be our main focus, we have to put our actual jobs, our families, and our health first.

We’ve worked hard for 10 years, putting every dime and every drop of spare time we had in this project: Ancient Bards slowly grew more and more and right in the moment our career needed that extra push to try to take flight, we found ourselves without resources. We kinda reached the highest peak of our career – so far – in the exact moment things in our personal life started to fall apart. Some of us had a lot on their plate and needed to turn their attention to what was more urgent.

However we were aware it was just a phase and, although we didn’t know how long it would last, we kept on working on Ancient Bards in any way we could, writing stuff whenever the gift of time met the gift of inspiration.

Let me just say we are overwhelmed by all the messages we receive from people asking when the new album will be out. Your eagerness for new stuff is awesome and makes us so proud! Thank you so much!
We always answer to those messages with “the new album is in the making!” and it is the absolute truth: it’s taking time, but it’s coming and it’s going to sound great!

We’re all ok now and back on track. We want to reward your patience by giving you the best of us, an album that is worth the wait. So bear with us and we’re all going to see the light!

You’ll be hearing from Ancient Bards soon, we can’t wait!

Novità in arrivo, nel frattempo qua c'è la pagina di crowdfunding per il prossimo album.

non ho partecipato al crowdfunding ma so che hanno raccolto 17 000 euro se non sbaglio? comunque comprerò il disco nuovo a scatola chiusa e sono felice che esca entro fine anno

 

sta cosa di chiedere soldi alla gente la trovo ingiusta ma già l'avevo detto per i treat,non sto a ripetermi

piu che altro io pagherei volentieri canzone per canzone (un po' come quando si comprano digitalmente),ma con la possibilità di avere librettino e copertine originali
tipo che se il CD costa 15€ di cui 10€ per le canzoni e 5 per il resto, volendo la metà delle canzoni pagherei solo 10€

esatto anche il primo era una bomba! si forse col terzo sono calati un pochino ma era cmq un ottimo disco

 

il terzo è il peggiore si. ma pure il primo non lo definirei bomba.
C'è la copia del pranzo è servito (birth of evil) e poi Frozen Mind....le altre sotto,anche se in realtà poi il mio pezzo preferito è un altro,che sta in 2 canzoni...

"il nostro cammino è appena iniziato ed ora il gruppo è stato formato..."

ah ho visto ora però che le parole sono un po' diverse nell'ultima canzone,che poi è quella in cui il pezzo è piu lungo e poi c'è anche la parte musicale trionfale successiva molto bella

 

Italian symphonic metallers Ancient Bards reveal new details of their eagerly awaited new record. The band’s fourth album will be entitled Origine - The Black Crystal Sword Saga Part 2 and will continue threading the fantasy story (The Black Crystal Sword Saga) the band has been telling through their music since 2010.
The cover artwork is a creation of the talented digital painter Vincent Lafevre.
“Once more, we want to thank our fans, especially the backers of our crowdfunding campaign. The strength of their support has been so comforting and stimulating it kept us focused on making what we think could be our best work so far. We are also extremely excited to release our first album with Simone Bertozzi as an official member, the chemistry is so right we feel like together we reached new levels of unity”
Origine is set to be released on January 25th, 2019 via Limb Music in two versions:

Deluxe Edition Digipak - reserved for the backers of the band’s very successful crowdfunding campaign

Già il fatto che abbiano abbandonato Machado Franco mi invoglia ad ascoltare l'album.

 

sembrala copertina di un videogioco in stile final fantasy ma mi piace!
