Il disco sembra una bombetta, contorto e atmosferico; come una continuazione di OM...

bel disco, sì, raffinato e primordiale, a tratti veramente stupendo. In effetti continua quel discorso di esplorazione extrasensoriale, dall'uomo allo spirito

Dordeduh - Calea Rotilor De Foc - YouTube

Grande disco, enormemente creativo e spirituale, praticamente inossidabile in longevità. Mi è impossibile giudicarlo concretamente, rimane in qualche maniera "astratto" e penso che il suo reale valore uscirà solamente alla distanza.

    Band:
Dordeduh is a Romanian folk / black metal band from Timișoara. The band was formed after internal tensions developed in Negură Bunget which resulted in Hupogrammos and Sol Faur leaving to form Dordeduh in 2009, while drummer Negru continued Negură Bunget with a few new musicians.

To start understanding the essence of the band is to first delineate the two Romanian words that its name is composed of: “dor” and “duh”. Having a deep, unique meaning in Romanian, “dor” is thought to be untranslatable in any other language using only one word, its sense being of “longing/yearning for something”, “missing something”. It can be something palpable, well-known and familiar (a place, a person, a taste) but it can also be a nostalgic feeling brought up by something vaguely known, dwelling in an old chamber of one’s soul. It is this vague and everlasting longing of the human being that this word is most associated with. It can be a personal life experience or a vague remembrance of the primordial and archetypal state of the human psyche, the origin of the human soul, as “dor” reminds of the human ability to sense the ethereal sphere.

The word “duh” could be translated as “spirit” and it defines the immaterial part or state of every living being. It also represents an attribute for all types of supernatural beings, forces, events and often can describe a ghost’s or a phantom’s immaterial form. The word’s etymological roots are related with the air as an element and it suggests an aerie vibration; it characterizes lightness and insubstantiality, an impalpable or intangible state. It also suggests the subtle and spiritual part of every living consciousness and it can be taken as a synonym of the esoteric word of “consciousness”. It is the living glint of the universe, dwelling deep inside of every being.

Being comprised of these two words, DorDeDuh means “yearning for the spirit”; it is the humanity endless search for the spirit, for the sacred, for the values of the soul. We aim to link these two words to the significant values that make us humans, melting together the soul and the spirit. The way one aligns one’s experiences with one’s own soul, the way one relates with the Universe, the way one perceives and integrates, through Intention, the perpetually flowing Transcendence, that is what defines different levels of humanity in a person, that is what makes one Human.

Musically, Dordeduh will follow the path opened by Negura Bunget, but the musical act will be accorded to a new perspective as we will experiment a new way of approaching black metal as well as using traditional instruments. It is normal for musicians to evolve and develop with every album released, but our goal is to push forward this natural development and to make Dordeduh distinguishable from our musical past.

    Din Brad - Dor (2012)

--- Country of Origin: Romania ---
    --- Active Years: 2008-present ---
--- Record Label: Prophecy Productions ---
--- Genres: Neofolk, Ambient, Folk ---
--- Similar Artists: Arde Fero, Jarun, Hexvessel, Cedar Spirits, Sangre De Muerdago, Forest Of The Soul ---

    Band:
    Side-project of Negură Bunget's members.

    The Name
Din Brad (English – “from the fir tree”) creates a direct connection with the nature. The fir is a symbol of immortality, of life and vitality over passing any challenge. A universe gathering the force of life as a circle reveals a local spirituality filled with deep meanings. The fir tree is a constant presence in the local traditional ceremonies: each newborn was symbolically assigned with a fir tree in the forest to whom he would partner with and cherish all his life. If a person was dying far from home, the local community would celebrate a burial ritual of a fir tree as a symbolical replacement of the lost member of the community. This equivalence (one man of the community for one tree of the forest) goes deep down the heart of the local soul opening paths to different way of understanding and approaching nature. These are the paths Din Brad will explore.

    The Story
Din Brad is a personal view on the Romanian traditional music. Din Brad was developed as a chance to offer a different dimension of our interest and views on the local Romanian folklore, history and spirituality. Romanian traditional music is rich, complex and diverse. The goal is to shape through the music of Din Brad a personal vision on the local traditional music, it’s ceremonial and social value as well as the deep connection with the natural and spiritual surroundings. It won’t be something just about music, but as much as about traditional meanings, symbols and knowledge.
Thought of since 2002 by Negru, the idea of Din Brad grew until 2008 when things started to came to reality. Prophecy Productions were impressed by the original concept, so a contract was signed immediately.
The debut album, Dor, is exploring the characteristic Romanian feelings of mourn and yearn which for many are emblematic characteristics of the Romanian soul. The traditional folklore is abundant in songs and poems portraying these feelings and the consequent rituals and ceremonials, that’s why we saw as fit using on the album some pure and unaltered traditional songs, performed by actual local performers. The album was recorded in early 2011 in Negura MUSIC studios, produced by Negru and is being released by Auerbach Tonträger / Prophecy Productions.
2011 will see the first live appearances for Din Brad. We are more than eager to present our musical views on stage, so you can expect something unique and spectacular.
