Today it is one year ago since I was taken to hospital after a seizure in my own home. Little did I, my family, colleagues and friends know, that everything was going to be different from that point on.
It was a normal day and nothing particular went on, but later I've learned that a brain tumor is often discovered that way. Luckily mine was a benign type of cyst and not cancerous. My challenge is to deal with the physical symptoms its causing and the uncertainty that comes with a complex case like mine.
Life is a lot better now than it was six months ago. I still learn how to deal with symptoms, make adjustments accordingly and I live a somewhat scaled down version of my old life. I work again, but I work less, I need more rest and I take medicine to relieve symptoms. Other than that, life is fairly normal. There are people out there who face bigger challenges than mine.
In my case, surgery is being considered over time and I get monitored by a Neurosurgeon. I believe I am in good hands. I fought extremely hard to get back on stage with Satyricon and to manage it in five months was a real triumph for me. I guess I was not ready for it, but I did it and lived up to my own standards. That was only possible due to the following factors: The support of my family, my own love for my craft and the overwhelming support of Satyricon's fans. I've felt the international roar of the Satyricon army and it has been uplifting, motivating and inspired strength in me.
In cases like this, you find that some people really want to help, while others don't even remember what happened to you. That's normal and you can use it as an opportunity to get rid of people you don't need and get closer to those you do need.
I've had people from all across the world ask how I am doing and showing genuine concern. This message is for you and what I'm telling you is that I've had a rough last year, but I'm working my way out of this and your support has meant a lot to me. Thank you very much and cheers to the future. SW

quindi sì dai non c'è andato vicino però

intanto hanno fatto tutta l'estate in tour e i 20 anni di nemesis divina, ristampato in vinile o cd e rimasterizzato (da satyr) si trova anche su ebay comunque nel caso non solo sul sito della nuclear blast (e magari potrebbe anche valere la pena eh, premetto che è uscito qualche mese fa e non l'ho sentito)

Il loro concerto al BA è stato uno dei migliori del festival, dal vivo hanno sempre un tiro pazzesco, peccato che di solito lo "sprechino" suonando sempre troppi pezzi nuovi che secondo me non sono davvero nulla di che. Dopo aver sentito tutto Nemesis infatti me ne sono andato saltando le varie King e compagnia cantante messe in chiusura

 

eh dal vivo sono straordinari, non li vedo da tantissimo tempo ma se e quando tornano in italia li torno a vedere di sicuro.. è vero però che come setlist purtroppo anche loro hanno preso da tanto tempo una piega inflamesiana nonostante io apprezzi moltissimi pezzi della loro "seconda carriera".. però le setlist non le farei mai così sbilanciate..

Per quel che mi riguarda potrebbero smetterla di fare nuovi dischi per dedicarsi solo a tour retrospettivi

 

Non spero/credo in un ritorno alle origini, ma mi auguro ci sia qualità, qualsiasi genere vadano a proporre.

 

Nuovo album a settembre, intanto ecco le date del prossimo tour:

 

Vedo che l'Italia è sempre una meta ambita
Comunque li andrei a vedere solo se suonassero i primi 3 album

 

beh però vengono a Bologna! mica a milano o venezia
