Deteriorot: pubblicati il primo singolo, la copertina e la tracklist del nuovo LP “Awakening”

Fondati nel 1988 con il nome originale Mortuary e diventati ufficialmente Deteriorot nel 1989, il membro fondatore, compositore, chitarrista solista e cantante Paul Zavaleta ha contribuito ad affermare la band come una delle forze pioniere della scena death metal del New Jersey/New York, accanto a leggende come Revenant, Ripping Corpse, Immolation, Incantation e Mortician.
Il sound del gruppo fonde toni atmosferici che ricordano il primo death metal finlandese e britannico con accenni di brutalità in stile svedese, stratificati sulla cruda intensità del death metal del New Jersey/New York degli anni ’90. Questo approccio unico ha consolidato l’eredità della band e ispirato una nuova ondata di adepti del death metal old school.
