Doro: vinto il premio del Regno Unito “Angel of Rock”

Il tour europeo invernale di DORO non avrebbe potuto iniziare meglio: sabato scorso all’Hard Rock Hell festival di Great Yarmouth (UK), DORO ha ricevuto il premio “Angel of Rock”. I fan erano chiamati a votare per la miglior cantante rock donna del mondo e ben il 77,8% (!) dei partecipanti ha votato per DORO.
Il premio è stato consegnato a DORO sul palco dinanzi ad un pubblico adorante. Doro ha dichiarato “È un grande onore ricevere un premio in questo Paese cui mi sento molto legata fin dai miei esordi!”.
Tra le altre cose, DORO è stata la prima frontwoman a cantare al leggendario Monsters of Rock festival nel 1996 a Castle Donington. Molte delle sue band preferite provengono dal Regno Unito e con molte di esse è andata in tour: JUDAS PRIEST, SAXON e MOTÖRHEAD.
