JAKKO M. JAKSZYK, forse più recentemente conosciuto come cantante e secondo chitarrista dei King Crimson, ha recentemente annunciato il suo nuovo album solista “Son Of Glen”, in uscita il 27 giugno 2025. Il disco è una sorta di accompagnamento al suo acclamato libro di memorie “Who’s The Boy With The Lovely Hair”, pubblicato nell’ottobre 2024, ed esplora molti dei temi e degli argomenti trattati nel libro.

“Ho finalmente scoperto chi era mio padre dopo decenni di ricerche infruttuose.
È successo solo 3 anni fa. È venuto fuori che era un aviatore americano di stanza in Inghilterra negli anni ’50 che è tornato negli Stati Uniti e che è morto quando io avevo 14 anni.
Son Of Glen” è una fantasia basata sull’idea che mio padre, un uomo che non ho mai conosciuto, mi stesse in qualche modo guidando da lontano. Il video cerca di raccontare questa storia e di riportare in vita mio padre”.
Nell’album compaiono anche i batteristi Gavin Harrison (King Crimson/Porcupine Tree) e Ian Mosley (Marillion), la violoncellista Caroline Lavelle, Louise Patricia Crane alla voce e Django, figlio di Jakko, al basso.
“Son Of Glen” sarà disponibile in versione limitata in CD Digipak, LP Gatefold e come album digitale.

Despite being seemingly the last person to recognise this: Jakko stands in a league of his own.
This in itself, we can muse upon, could well be the manifestation of an unwanted child who felt they had everything to prove. A core theme of his book, a theme many people themselves can relate to in some capacity.
Whether emotional hardship has driven Jakko to the place where ‘Son Of Glen’ has culminated, or simply a need to reach out to the spectre of his late Father, it gives credence to the romantic notion that one’s best art is produced from periods of struggle. ‘Son Of Glen’ is undeniably Jakko M. Jakszyk’s triumph, which succinctly showcases an extraordinary life and career of an unparalleled musician, producer and songwriter.
