Il commento della band:
“Con ‘Hydra’ ci siamo addentrati ancora di più nelle melodie pesanti che abbiamo esplorato nel nostro precedente singolo, ‘Death Above Life’. Il testo è un brano crudo e senza filtri che parla di tagliare i ponti – diretto, onesto e senza compromessi. La canzone è stata scritta durante un periodo di forte stress e frustrazione e incanalare queste emozioni è sembrato uno sfogo necessario.
Dal punto di vista visivo, ci siamo ispirati all’atmosfera vasta e cinematografica dei film di ‘Dune’. Lo stesso senso di scala riecheggia nella produzione: violoncelli distorti e poco intonati e tamburi fragorosi che fanno pensare a qualcosa di enorme in arrivo. Questo è senza dubbio uno dei nostri video più ambiziosi. Abbiamo esplorato il deserto della California per trovare la location perfetta: niente green screen, niente trucchi. Quello che vedete è reale: solo quattro ragazzi svedesi che sudano nel caldo torrido del deserto”.

Hailing from the small town of Eksjö, Sweden (located between the revered metal cities of Gothenburg and Stockholm), the quartet (guitarist and vocalist Niklas Karlsson, guitarist Richard Hansson, bassist Fredrik Lennartsson and drummer Christopher Wallerstedt) has grown into a global force, melding together, riffs that are equal parts thrash, death metal and industrial with arresting hooks and a layered atmosphere that invites comparison to Gojira, Metallica and Static-X while carving out something that is uniquely their own.
