I Poisonblack, capitanati da Ville Laihiala, pubblicheranno il secondo album intitolato "Lust Stained Despair" sotto etichetta Century Media Records il 28 agosto.

Dopo otto anni di attività, gli statunitensi Enforsaken si sciolgono. Ecco una parte del comunicato ufficiale apparso sul sito della band:

'It's official. After eight years of existence, we have decided to lay Enforsaken to rest. We will play our final show Saturday, August 19th in Chicago at the Metro. This wasn't the easiest decision to make, but in the end, we agree that Enforsaken has now run its course. We've accomplished everything that we set out to do, and now it's time to move on. We're all very proud of our last album, 'Sinner's Intuition', and feel that now is a good time to end the band.'

'We've chosen to burn out on a high note now, rather than just slowly fade into obscurity. Due to our many obligations outside the band, we cannot continue to put 100% of our time into Enforsaken. We were basically kids when this band formed, and over the years, things just have to change. Whether you like it or not. It's as simple as that. Some bands linger on for years past their expiration date. Enforsaken will not become one of those bands.'

La guardia di sicurezza morsicata da Axl Rose lo scorso martedì mattina in un hotel di Stoccolma è stata intervistata in esclusiva dal quotidiano svedese Aftonbladet.

Il giovane si chiama Pascal Håkansson, ha 25 anni ed era al quarto giorno di lavoro presso l'hotel Berns, dove è scoppiata la rissa che ha visto Axl protagonista, in seguito a una "notte brava" di after party in giro per Stoccolma, dopo un concerto sold out dei Guns N' Roses.


Secondo la versione del giovane, Axl sarebbe arrivato da solo in hotel all'alba, e si sarebbe diretto nella sua stanza. Poi, sarebbe sceso di nuovo insieme a una donna più vecchia (la sua assistente Beta).
"Axl era arrabbiato perché era stato lasciato solo al party - ha sostenuto la guardia giurata - Era carico, ma di pessimo umore, e ha iniziato a urlare come un dannato. Così mi sono avvicinato e gli ho detto di abbassare la voce".
"Visto che non mi ascoltava, l'ho detto alla sua assistente - ha proseguito - A quel punto, Axl si è girato e mi ha colpito al petto e al collo. Mi ha colto di sorpresa: ho perso l'equilibrio e mi sono dovuto inginocchiare".
"Mi è saltato addosso e ha iniziato a picchiare - ha detto Pascal - Ho parato qualche pugno, ma non riuscivo a bloccargli le braccia. Era scatenato, e mi avrebbe ucciso: continuava a urlare 'Io ti ammazzo'; poi sono riuscito a prenderlo per il collo e a buttarlo per terra. Era molto forte. E' stato allora che mi ha morso. Non me ne sono accorto subito perché ero carico di adrenalina".

Nel frattempo la guardia del corpo di Axl sarebbe scesa al bar dell'hotel, teatro della rissa.
"Axl correva su e giù gridando che avrebbe trasformato la mia vita in un inferno - ha spiegato l'addetto alla sicurezza - Minacciava anche la sua guardia del corpo, dicendo che l'avrebbe licenziato se fosse intervenuto. Era fuori di sé, e ha lanciato un vaso contro uno specchio della reception, un oggetto di antiquariato".

A quel punto, sarebbe arrivata anche la polizia, chiamata dallo staff dell'albergo. Erano le 7.45 di mattina.
"I poliziotti l'hanno arrestato e portato via, e io sono andato all'ospedale: potevo aver contratto l'epatite B o qualcosa del genere. Non avevo ferite, ma solo un'escoriazione superficiale", ha spiegato sempre il giovane aggredito.

"Axl sembrava pazzo, aveva un aspetto davvero da disturbato - ha commentato il ragazzo - Era sicuramente sotto effetto di alcol o chissà cos'altro. Ho lavorato molto come buttafuori in club e night, e sono abituato a queste cose. Ma lui era completamente fuori, poteva succedere qualunque cosa. Meno male che non se l'è presa con le ragazze della reception".

Axl, trasportato alla stazione di polizia, è stato chiuso in cella fino al pomeriggio, poi è stato interrogato e rilasciato. Pagherà una multa di circa 5.500 euro, di cui poco più di mille sono di risarcimento a Pascal Håkansson.

"Se questo fosse successo negli Stati Uniti, probabilmente ora sarei milionario - ha osservato la guardia giurata - Ora chiamerò un avvocato per esaminare qualche possibilità d'azione. Di certo, mi piacerebbe ricevere almeno una telefonata di scuse".

Diversa la posizione del management dei Guns N' Roses relativamente alla vicenda.
Merck Mercuriadis, manager di Axl, ha lanciato diverse accuse verso le autorità svedesi in un comunicato stampa.
"Axl è stato maltrattato. E' stato arrestato nel suo albergo per l'accusa di una guardia di sicurezza; gli è stato preso un braccialetto di valore, che non si è più visto. Mentre era in custodia, l'hanno tenuto fermo in cinque mentre un dottore, per tre volte, ha cercato di prelevargli del sangue per un test di droga, che poi è risultato negativo. Questo dimostra, oltre all'incompetenza, anche una certa dose di malizia da parte delle autorità. Così come il principio draconiano di pensare che la guardia di sicurezza dica il vero solo perché ha un badge attaccato al petto. Potete amare o odiare Axl, ma non mettetelo per forza nel torto".
"Con questo, non ce l'abbiamo con i 15mila fan che erano presenti al concerto e che sono stati fantastici - si legge in coda - Torneremo sicuramente in Svezia, ma per la gente e non per le autorità".

Secondo il sito internet TampaBays10.com, l'autista del tour bus degli Opeth, Leon Rodney Whitman Jr (foto), è stato condannato a 25 anni con l'accusa di pedofilia. L'autista, 47enne, è stato arrestato a Tampa (qui la scheda dell'arresto) lo scorso 13 novembre, durante il tour della band. La polizia ritiene di aver trovato per strada una 16enne che accusa Whitman di averla portata dal Michigan a Tampa con la scusa di scattarle delle fotografie per un book. Ma la polizia sostiene che l'uomo abbia registrato un video tape di un rapporto sessuale avuto con la minorenne. Pare che Whitman abbia ammesso le sue colpe di aver abusato della ragazza. Fra i vari dettagli della vicenda, la polizia ha scoperto nella telecamera di Whitman più di duecento foto oscene di ragazze, alcune sospettate di essere minorenni.

Gli Shape Of Deaspair hanno incominciato le registrazioni del brano Aether, che verrà incluso nel prossimo album tributo agli Skepticism. La band ha deciso di utilizzare ancora l'Hellhole Studio.

Metal Disorder 2006 @ Campo Sportivo di Pogliano Milanese (MI)

Nuove interessanti conferme per gli appassionati del metal estremo, PSYCHOFAGIST avant-grind da Novara (www.psychofagist.com), CADAVERIC CREMATORIUM band Bresciana definitasi Wrestling Brutal Grind
(www.cadaveric.it) e FUNERAL RAPE Porno Grind da Milano (www.funeralrape.tk) sono le ultime band che hanno confermato la partecipazione al Metal Disorder 2006.
Confermati da poche ore anche gli ORTHODOX (www.orthodox-metal.com), storica thrash/death band Italiana nata nel lontano 1991 e ferma con la proposta on-stage dal 1996. Dopo 10 anni quindi un grande ritorno dei Milanesi Orthodox!

Sono online gli estratti da alcuni pezzi di "It's Electric", il nuovo live album targato Diamond Head e uscito il 26 giugno. Il platter include l'intera esibizione della band britannica all'Astoria di Londra, tenuta il 4 novembre 2005.

La Secret Records ha pubblicato anche il video di 'In The Heat Of The Night' tratto dal prossimo DVD "To The Devil His Due".
