I thrasher spagnoli ANGELUS APATRIDA continuano la promozione dell’ultimo lavoro in studio, l’album omonimo pubblicato lo scorso anno su Century Media Records. Dopo la pubblicazione l’album è entrato in classifica spagnola al #1 e per la prima volta la band è entrata anche in classifica in Germania al #49 e in Svizzera al #41.

“Ci piace scrivere e suonare canzoni dirette, che rispecchino le nostre radici; e se si tratta di voci orecchiabili, assoli folli e cori cantabili, ancora meglio! Qui troverete le nostre influenze più grezze in ogni parte: heavy metal, hardcore classico, crossover e puro thrash metal… Alzate il volume e chiamate il vostro fisioterapista per un appuntamento!
Abbiamo cercato di catturare la ferocia della musica e la crudezza dei testi e di metterli insieme in un videoclip il più possibile cinematografico. Le nostre canzoni sono a volte piene di esperienze personali e lasciano uscire i sentimenti che usiamo per incanalare le nostre paure e i nostri fantasmi più profondi. E come possiamo vedere nei film e nelle serie TV, pensiamo che sia necessario normalizzarlo e mostrare con naturalezza situazioni difficili che tutti vediamo e soffriamo nella vita reale. Tutti meritiamo di vivere con dignità e, quando arriverà il momento, tutti meritiamo di morire in modo dignitoso.”

“Angelus Apatrida” (“/ˈan-je-lus – a-ˈpa-tri-da/”) was produced by the band, recorded with Juanan López in September/October at Baboon Records, in Albacete, Spain and then mixed and mastered by Zeuss (Rob Zombie, Overkill, Hatebreed, Municipal Waste, Shadows Fall) at Planet-Z in Wilbraham, MA, USA. The album once again comes with artwork by Gyula Havancsák (Annihilator, Destruction, Stratovarius) and features 10 songs, sounding more determined, versatile and ferocious than ever before, on the verge of the group’s 20th anniversary of existence.
