I BETWEEN THE BURIED AND ME svelano la terza e ultima anteprima del loro prossimo album, “The Blue Nowhere” (12 settembre, Inside Out Music), pubblicando oggi la title-track dell’album:

“The Blue Nowhere” è forse il brano più particolare dell’album, in quanto è un esercizio di semplicità… cosa per cui non siamo esattamente noti. Abbiamo costruito la maggior parte del brano a partire da un semplice accordo di base, che ha davvero catturato l’atmosfera in cui volevamo per tutta la durata della canzone. Ci sono alcuni cambi di dinamica ma sono molto più sottili di quanto la gente possa aspettarsi. Ci piace molto come è venuta fuori e sentiamo che si inserisce perfettamente nel contesto dell’album”.
Prodotto dal collaboratore di lunga data Jamie King, “The Blue Nowhere” è anche il primo album dei Between the Buried and Me a presentare un’ampia sezione di archi e corni. È disponibile in edizione speciale su CD, 2LP con copertina apribile e in formato digitale. “Things We Tell Ourselves In The Dark” arrived with news of the album’s September arrival. An accompanying video brought The Blue Nowhere to life, with a 3D model of the mid-century modern hotel featured in the album packaging showcased in the clip. Consequence hailed it as “sunny jazz-funk,” while Knotfest praised the band’s “all-encompassing range and unwillingness to stick to the conventional.” “Absent Thereafter” followed, with Revolver saying the song “gives Van Halen-meets-Huey Lewis vibes,” and Metal Injection noting that the track is “exactly the kind of chaotic, genre-blurring journey longtime listeners have to to expect. It’s impressive.”
