DEATHRAISER was formed in 2006 under the name Mercilless, delivering a direct and aggressive Thrash Metal assault that quickly began circulating through the Brazilian underground. After releasing their demo “Possessed by Thrash” (2007), the band expanded their live activity across southeastern Brazil. Their major breakthrough came in 2011 with the debut album “Violent Aggression“, now under the name DEATHRAISER and released by Xtreem Music. The record gained international exposure, was reissued in several formats, and allowed the band to tour almost all Brazilian states, sharing stages with international acts and appearing at notable festivals. In 2013, the music video for “Terminal Disease” surpassed 100,000 views on YouTube, earning the band further visibility in specialized metal media.

Although the band kept a low profile over the following decade, they never disbanded. In 2024, they resumed activity to compose their second album, “Forged in Hatred“, recorded during the first half of 2025 and set for release in January 2026 once again through Xtreem Music. This new work reflects a clear musical maturity which, while remaining faithful to their aggressive Thrash Metal identity, offers a more dynamic and enjoyable sound—marking DEATHRAISER’s return with an album poised to become another major milestone in their career.
