Entombed A.D.: Petrov, ‘La cover di ‘Back at the Funny Farm’ dei Motörhead’? Rivive la leggenda’
Prima dell’esibizione degli Entombed A.D. al festival serbo Exit dello scorso 7 luglio, il cantante Lars Göran Petrov ha parlato con Agoraphobic News.
Riguardo alla cover di ‘Back at the Funny Farm’ (“Another Perfect Day”, 1993) dei Motörhead, presente come bonus nella versione digipak in edizione limitata del loro nuovo album “Bowels of Earth”, in uscita il prossimo 30 agosto via Century Media Records, Petrov ha detto:
“Another Perfect Day” è stato il primo album che abbia comprato. È stato il mio primo vinile heavy metal. Un disco assolutamente sottovalutato, il cui suono è davvero sorprendente. Quindi, è stato un vero piacere fare la cover di ‘Back at the Funny Farm’. Vedremo se alla gente piacerà. Lemmy e i Motörhead sono sempre vincenti ma se non si prova a lavorare su qualcosa di loro, non lo saprai mai. È bello uscire dal sistema. Lemmy ha quella voce trasandata che si adatta al rock’n’roll, all’heavy metal, all’hard rock. È davvero una leggenda che vive nei nostri cuori.
