Italian tech-death maestros HOUR OF PENANCE have begun recording their highly anticipated ninth studio album, which will be the follow-up to “Misotheism” from 2019. The band started off with drums, which are being recorded by Giacomo Torti, who officially joined the band as new full-time drummer in December, and who can be seen in a new video from Bloom Studios in Rome, where tracking is taking place.

“We’re proud to announce that we’re once again in studio to record our ninth album, following the 2019 release of Misotheism,” comments HOUR OF PENANCE. “Not being able to play live as much as we wanted because of the whole Covid situation has been a let down but at the same time it gave us more time to work on the new material, as well as perfecting the new songs in every single detail. We just started tracking the drums at the Bloom Studios here in Rome and it’s going to take some time before we can release a new song, but rest assured the patience will pay off. We’ll disclose more in the next weeks, so keep an eye out on our Facebook and Instagram profiles.”

Whilst working on the album, HOUR OF PENANCE will have its last installment, “Misotheism”, re-issued on Agonia Records on January 27th in CD, LP and MC format.
