Lunatic Soul: firma con Inside Out Music, online il nuovo singolo “The World Under Unsun”

I LUNATIC SOUL, il gruppo polacco guidato dal principale compositore e cantante/bassista dei Riverside Mariusz Duda, sono lieti di annunciare la firma a livello globale con Inside Out Music per la pubblicazione del loro ottavo album, previsto in uscita nel corso dell’anno.
Un primo nuovo singolo intitolato “The World Under Unsun”, registrato, mixato e masterizzato da Magda e Robert Srzedniccy al Serakos Studio di Varsavia, Polonia, viene pubblicato oggi e può essere ascoltato in streaming qui: https://lunaticsoulmusic.lnk.

“È così che inizierà il nuovo album dei Lunatic Soul. Proprio con questi suoni. Il brano ‘The World Under Unsun’ è una sorta di titoli di testa di un lungo film musicale di 90 minuti che uscirà in autunno. Questo film è l’ottavo album dei Lunatic Soul. Sulla linea temporale della storia, è ambientato tra ‘Fractured’ e ‘Walking on a Flashlight Beam’. L’oscurità e la malinconia tornano nella mia musica, questa volta immersa nella luce nera e dorata di un sole eclissato. Ho registrato un album epico, lungo e molto vario, il primo doppio album della mia carriera. Non volevo presentare frammenti strappati al contesto. Volevo semplicemente condividere l’inizio di questo viaggio. Spero che il brano vi piaccia e che vi unirete a me in questo lungo viaggio in autunno”.
Vorrei ringraziare sinceramente i miei amici di Inside Out Music per la loro fiducia e per aver accolto Lunatic Soul sotto le loro ali. Spero che questo apra qualche altra porta verso una più profonda scoperta di questo lavoro da solista, dove sembra sempre che io vaghi con qualche strano mantello. Spero anche che la mia musica da solista aggiunga qualcosa di intrigante e significativo al catalogo di suoni dell’etichetta 🙂 “.
Lunatic Soul is the solo outfit of the creator, vocalist, and multi-instrumentalist Mariusz Duda. Duda is best known as the frontman of the Polish progressive rock band Riverside, where he is the main composer, lyricist, vocalist, and bassist. In 2008, he launched a separate outlet in which, as he says himself, he wanted to create something different and uncompromising.
Lunatic Soul is inspired by artists such as Dead Can Dance, Peter Gabriel (especially his “Passion” album), Mike Oldfield, Clannad, Hedningarna and Depeche Mode. It’s an attempt to blend ambient music and electronic music with folk and rock influences. Duda plays almost all the instruments himself, with occasional guest appearances from invited musicians.
While the artist doesn’t reject the label of progressive rock, he believes that “Lunatic Soul gives me more room for musical originality than Riverside”. For this reason, he doesn’t like Lunatic Soul being referred to as a “side project”. “To me, there’s nothing secondary about Lunatic Soul. Musically and conceptually, it’s an equally important musical world – if not more important. Here, I can do literally anything.”
Since its inception in 2008, Lunatic Soul have released seven full-length albums. The upcoming eighth album will be released later in 2025 via Inside Out Music internationally and Mystic Production in Poland. All eight albums form what is known as the “The Circle of Life and Death”, a cohesive story in which a solitary artist-traveller journeys between life and death.
