I Samael hanno terminato la fase di pre-produzione del nuovo album, che dovrebbe vedere la luce prima della fine dell'anno. La band sta collaborando con il produttore Waldemar Sorychta (Lacuna Coil, Tiamat, Moonspell ecc...). Al momento stanno per essere registrate le parti di chitarra e basso. I lavori proseguiranno per tutto agosto.

Di conseguenza, non onoreranno l'accordo originale con il Magic Circle Management, secondo cui quella del 2007 sarebbe stata la quarta apparizione da headliner per i Manowar, affiancati dai Rhapsody Of Fire come special guest e dal debutto italiano degli HolyHell. Nota a margine, i Manowar detengono il record di "headlining" al Gods Of Metal Festival, avendo partecipato più volte di ogni altra band. I Manowar e la Magic Circle Music chiariscono che non sono in alcun modo responsabili per la cancellazione delle performance dei Manowar dei prossimi anni.

Il bassista dei Manowar, Joey DeMaio, ha detto: 'Abbiamo voluto informare i fan appena possibile, di modo che non comprino biglietti aspettandosi di vedere i Manowar al festival. I promoter, in passato, sono stati uomini d'onore e la nostra fiducia in loro ci ha spinto a permettere l'annuncio in esclusiva della nostra presenza per il 2007. Come band capiamo che i nostri fan italiani saranno sicuramente arrabbiati, ma non ci sono errori a riguardo. Non è stata una nostra decisione. Anche noi siamo arrabbiati. "In riferimento a quanto comparso sul sito dei Manowar e sulla mailing list di Magic Circle Music circa una presunta non effettuazione del festival Gods Of Metal nel 2007, informiamo che GODS OF METAL 2007 si svolgerà regolarmente. Le date sono già state fissate e si tratta del 2 e 3 Giugno 2007.

Come organizzatori del festival abbiamo deciso di privilegiare altre scelte artistiche che non quella di riproporre i Manowar. Come da dieci anni a questa parte GODS OF METAL 2007 comprenderà le maggiori metal bands del panorama internazionale.
 
Per quanto riguarda le dichiarazioni lesive contenute nel comunicato di Magic Circle Music, abbiamo già dato mandato ai nostri legali di agire in ogni sede opportuna per la tutela del nome e del marchio Gods Of Metal.
