Gli italiani Hour of Penance hanno completato i lavori per un promo di 3 pezzi, anteprima della prossima release della band ancora senza titolo. Le recording session del promo inizieranno il 18 di dicembre presso i 16th Cellar Studio (www.16thcellarstudio.com) presso i quali la band ha già registrato i suoi 2 album "Disturbance" e "Pageantry for Martyrs" usciti rispettivamente nel 2003 e nel 2005 per la nota etichetta spagnola Xtreemmusic Rec.

Secondo la band, il nuovo materiale rappresenta l'evoluzione degli Hour of Penance verso un Brutal/Death metal ancora piu raffinato.Veloci e annichilenti riff combinati con intricate strutture distruggeranno sicuramente le orecchie di qualsiasi ascoltatore.
 
Essendo gli Hour of Penance senza contratto, questo promo di 3 tracce, una volta registrato, verrà inviato soltanto ad una lista di Etichette selezionate e sarà disponibile per l'ascolto presso il sito ufficiale della band www.hourofpenance.net e il myspace della band www.myspace.com/hourofpenance
 
Inoltre, la band stà ancora lavorando sul suo nuovo album. Per ora la maggior parte del lavoro è stato fatto e la band dichiarano di essere pienamente soddisfatti con le nuove composizioni. Una volta sotto contratto gli Hour of Penance rientreranno nuovamente presso i 16th Cellar Studio per registrare l'intero album.

Come precedentemente annunciato la Listenable Records pubblicherà un EP degli Immolation a febbraio, il primo in assoluto della band, che conterrà su un live DVD lo show completo tenutosi recentemente al BB Kings di New York. La performance è stata filmata dalla Evil Eye Productions.

La band entrerà a breve in studio per lavorare su quella che sarà la settima release. Da alcune recenti dichiarazioni si evince che il nuovo materiale è molto aggressivo e molto più intenso rispetto ai lavori passati, inoltre i brani risultano essere più brevi del solito.

Per i Gory Blister il 2006 è stato davvero un anno d'oro. I deathsters milanesi si sono tolti parecchie soddisfazioni e non sembrano avere alcuna intenzione di sedersi sugli allori. Proprio a febbraio vedeva la luce il nuovo album Skymorphosis, pubblicato in tutto il mondo dall'etichetta olandese Mascot e distribuito da edel in Italia. Il disco porta i Gory Blister all'attenzione di un pubblico più vasto, in Italia e soprattutto all'estero dove i media riservano una accoglienza inedita per una death metal band italiana. Conseguenza logica il tour europeo, primo nella storia della band, che tocca quasi tutti i paesi dell'Unione e che vede la partecipazione di band di livello assoluto, quali gli eclettici  Darkane, ma soprattutto i mitici Sadus. "Abbiamo imparato molto in questo tour, siamo migliorati tecnicamente, per non parlare dell'esperienza on stage, ma devo  dire che oltre ogni aspettativa siamo cresciuti sul piano umano". Sono le prime considerazioni del portavoce della band, Joe (batteria); "I Sadus ci hanno sempre messo nelle condizioni migliori per offrire ogni sera uno spettacolo eccellente e dopo ogni show, fra una birra e l'altra, ci davano consigli su ogni aspetto che poteva essere migliorato ulteriormente. Sono stato molto sorpreso quando ho scoperto che Steve Di Giorgio si era ricordato del nostro incontro del '93 e per questo aveva accettato con entusiasmo che i Gory facessero parte della famiglia!".
Indubbiamente un'esperienza che pochi possono vantare. Ma i Gory Blister non si sono fermati e la band recentemente si è esibita in alcune date italiane, fra cui un'indimenticabile discesa nel profondo Salento. I Gory Blister sono in
questo momento impegnati nella stesura di nuovo materiale e la lavorazione dell'album è in fase avanzata. Il titolo, al momento provvisorio è "Sink Into Oblivion". Il lavoro di studio non tiene però la band lontana dal palco ed in febbraio è previsto un tour che vedrà anche la partecipazione degli Amoral, band finlandese, un'occasione perfetta per rivedere i

Bologna Rock City è felice di potere confermare la data unica nazionale prevista il 26 novembre 2006 dei BONFIRE a Bologna presso il locale KINDERGARTEN (ex Estragon) via Calzoni 6/h.
