Steve Hackett: presenta il nuovo singolo ‘Circo Inferno’

Il leggendario chitarrista STEVE HACKETT pubblicherà il suo nuovo album “The Circus And The Nightwhale” il 16 febbraio 2024, su Inside Out Music. Si tratta di un concept album di 13 tracce che vede come protagonista un giovane personaggio chiamato Travla, oltre che essere il trentesimo per l’artista britannico e con un’angolazione autobiografica.

“Circo Inferno è il punto più frenetico della narrazione di questo album… una richiesta d’aiuto che arriva dall’interno del vortice di un circo dantesco, con vorticose scale frigie, un sassofono martellante, pieno di voce e chitarre impetuose…”
“The Circus And The Nightwhale” è la prima nuova musica di Steve in oltre due anni. Segue il bellissimo LP acustico “Under A Mediterranean Sky” del gennaio 2021 (salito a No 2 nella classifica classica britannica) e, nel settembre dello stesso anno, il suo capolavoro metallico “Surrender Of Silence”, che ha raggiunto la Top 40 britannica. Il suo album live del 2023, “Foxtrot At Fifty + Hackett Highlights: Live in Brighton”, ha raggiunto la posizione #2 nella Rock & Metal Chart.
Il nuovo album è stato registrato tra i tour del 2022 e del 2023 presso lo studio Siren nel Regno Unito in gran parte dallo stesso Steve che si è occupato delle chitarre elettriche e acustiche, 12 corde, mandolino, armonica, percussioni, basso e voce. Ad affiancarlo troviamo ancora una volta Roger King (tastiere, programmazione e arrangiamenti orchestrali), Rob Townsend (sax), Jonas Reingold (basso), Nad Sylvan (voce), Craig Blundell (batteria) e Amanda Lehmann alla voce. Nuovamente presenti anche Nick D’Virgilio e Hugo Degenhardt come ospiti alla batteria, Benedict Fenner alle tastiere e Malik Mansurov al tar. Infine, il fratello di Steve, John Hackett, è presente ancora una volta al flauto.
“The Circus And The Nightwhale” sarà disponibile per il preorder dal 1 dicembre in differenti formati, tra cui Limited CD+Blu-ray mediabook (con mix 5.1 Surround Sound e a 24 bit), Standard CD Jewelcase, Gatefold 180g Vinyl LP E in digitale. La copertina è stata curata da Denise Marsh.
