La storia si ripete ancora per il discusso "The Stench of Redemption" dei Deicide. Questa volta a mettere al bando il nuovo disco della band americana è il più importante negozio online di musica svedese, Ginza.se, che si rifiuta di venderlo al pubblico tramite il proprio canale.

I motivi, ancora una volta, sono da ricercarsi nell'artwork blasfemo, nei testi controversi e nel fatto che il frontman Glen Benton ha una croce rovesciata marchiata in fronte. Tutto questo ha portato il sito svedese a prendere per la prima volta la decisione di rimuovere persino qualsiasi traccia di tutte le precedenti release dei Deicide disponibili online.

La brasiliana Marquee Records ha appena ristampato il terzo disco dei canadesi Sacrifice, intitolato Soldiers Of Misfortune. Come per le precedenti uscite, l'album esce come doppio CD a tiratuta limitata e numerata a mano, con un corposo booklet, liner notes, foto dal vivo e commenti dei protagonisti. Il materiale bonus consta di varie tracce demo e live, per un totale di 32 brani completamente rimasterizzati. Ecco la tracklist:

La copertina dell'album "Paradise Lost" dei Symphony X, circolata in rete da ieri, potrebbe non essere quella definitiva scelta dalla band. A darne la notizia sono gli stessi Symphony X, che spiegano si tratti di una prima bozza trapelata in qualche modo.

Il gruppo rivela che il mixaggio dell'album potrebbe già avvenire a metà settembre.

La Scarlet pubblicherà a settembre una nuova versione, in digipack e a tiratura limitata, dell'ultimo e acclamatissimo album dei Vision Divine, ‘The Perfect Machine'. Il disco, originariamente uscito nel novembre del 2005, è stato subito incensato da stampa e pubblico, al punto da venire da molti considerato uno dei migliori lavori che l'Italia abbia mai prodotto in campo metal. Gli svedesi The Haunted, definiti “i più grandi esponenti di metal con le palle” da Kerrang!, stanno per ritornare dopo il successo avuto nel 2004 con l'album rEVOLVEr, che aveva visto il ritorno del cantante Peter Dolving e che era risultato in un capolavoro contemporaneo per tutto il movimento di musica estrema.

Il 3 Ottobre i The Haunted usciranno con The Dead Eye, quinto album ufficiale. Il chitarrista Anders Björler ha così commentato I lavori in corso:

"Ho appena ricevuto il master finale da Tue Madsen, il nostro produttore, con tutte le tracce nell'ordine definitivo, ed è davvero un disco killer. Finrte “The Dead Eye” ci ha preso tutta la primavera, avevamo cominciato con qualche prova e la pre-produzione in Gennaio. Abbiamo lasciato gli Antfarm Studops a inizio Giugno ed eravamo un po' perplessi, ma con la sensazione di aver creato qualcosa di molto forte e potente. Ci si sente sempre un po' strani dopo aver registrato. E' difficile prendere le distanze dal tuo lavoro, ma questa volta sentivamo che avevamo realizzato qualcosa di straordinario. Lavorare con Tue Madsen come ingegnere del suono e produttore è stato bellissimo, e questo sicuramente si sente nell'album. Tue ha il nostro stesso background musicale, quindi è stato facile comunicargli le nostre idee, spiegargli la nostra visione”.

State pronti per un incredibile nuovo album, che fonde un thrash moderno e titanico con alcune nuove, sorprendenti aggiunte al suono naturalmente intenso dei The Haunted!

La band ha appena festeggiato il suo decimo anno di esistenza: la fondazione ufficiale era infatti avvenuta il 27 Luglio 1996. Il chitarrista Anders ha commentato così quest'occasione speciale:

“Vogliamo ringraziare tutte le persone che hanno lavorato con noi fin dall'inizio, e naturalmente un immenso grazie a tutti i fan che ci hanno supportato per tutti questi anni!”.

Il 24 Luglio gli svedesi Dragonland sono entrati nello Studio Fredman (In Flames, Hammerfall, Dimmu Borgir) per registrare il quarto album, con la produzione di Fredrik Nordström. Il follow up del celebre “Starfall”, del 2004, sarà visualmente arricchito dalla copertina ideata dal genio di Niklas Sundin (Arch Enemy In Flames, Dark Tranquillity) e dalle foto del mago della fotocamera Olle Carlsson (H.I.M., The Haunted, Soilwork).

L'album porterà il titolo Astronomy ed uscirà a Novembre per Century Media Records.

Il chitarrista e compositore Olof Mörck ha così commentato la nuova opera:

“Questo album é un altro passo gigante lungo il percorso per trovare la nostra speciale galassia nel firmamento del metal. E' in parte un riassunto musicale della nostra carriera fino ad ora, con tutti gli elementi chiave che hanno reso i DRAGONLAND quello che sono, ma è anche un progredire verso il futuro del metal e della musica potente in generale. I due anni passati da Starfall sono stati passati principalmente componendo e scrivendo il nuovo album, con delle pause ogni tanto per qualche data e qualche concerto che ci desse ispirazione, come per esempio il tour con Yngwie Malmsteen l'anno scorso. Sento che quest'album è quello che avevamo sempre voluto creare: coeso ma diversificato, concettuale ma non limitato a una particolare stato d'animo o atmosfera, molto pesante e potente ma estremamente melodico. Spero e credo che quando gli ascoltatori metteranno su il CD e la prima canzone, “Supernova”, esploderà dalle casse, avranno la sensazione di sentire qualcosa che non hanno mai sentito prima. E' un viaggio di panorami musicali attraverso sezioni acustiche sublimi e riff pesanti e violenti, tutto tenuto insieme dall'epica “The Old House on The Hill”, una canzone da film, di ben 14 minuti. Solo questa ci è costata 5 mesi di lavoro! State pronti per il fenomeno stellare e l'ascensione astrale che avverrà a Novembre!”.

Preparatevi per quest'opera magna di melodie, musicalità sopra le righe e puro heavy.

La storia si ripete ancora per il discusso "The Stench of Redemption" dei Deicide. Questa volta a mettere al bando il nuovo disco della band americana è il più importante negozio online di musica svedese, Ginza.se, che si rifiuta di venderlo al pubblico tramite il proprio canale.

I motivi, ancora una volta, sono da ricercarsi nell'artwork blasfemo, nei testi controversi e nel fatto che il frontman Glen Benton ha una croce rovesciata marchiata in fronte. Tutto questo ha portato il sito svedese a prendere per la prima volta la decisione di rimuovere persino qualsiasi traccia di tutte le precedenti release dei Deicide disponibili online.
